Crescent Public School, Ballarpur Celebrated Marathi Day and Science Day on 27 and 28 of February

Marathi Day and National Science Day were celebrated by Creative Mind Pre-School Ballarpur, run by Crescent Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Chandrapur on the occasion of Marathi Language Day. Every year, February 27 is observed as Marathi Language Day in honor of renowned Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar aka ‘Kusmagraj’ (a pen name he took – ‘Kusum’ being his younger sister’s name and ‘Agraj’ meaning the elder sibling of). Kusumagraj was an eminent Marathi poet, playwright, novelist, short story writer, apart from being a humanist. World Marathi Day was celebrated in the presence of Shri Vinayakrao Salve, Vice President of Paryavaran Vahini, and Mrs Humera Khan, Madam, Headmistress of the school, and Adv. Nazim Khan, Secretary of Crescent Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. On this occasion, the program started with a dance on the song ‘Jai Jai Maharashtra Mazha’ by the 8th class student and also Lavani dance Presented by Mohini Wankhede Sherwari Mahalle, Manjiri Mahalle, Navya Gondane, Junera Sheikh Avni Sao. 

Also, Deepanshu Dhoke, Pranay Verma, Samayank Gondane, Mishneer Kalra, Madhupriya Bhukya, Rakshit Suryavanshi, Harshita Yahake, Krishna, Kartikeya Pandey, Krish Darwankar, Hrishi Verma gave information about poetry and Marathi day. Special Arjun Bhise performed a special Marathi song on the piano. Also, school children presented street plays to create awareness on the Water Kiskos and misuse of Mobiles. Along with it, a play on the life of Saneguruji and Lokmanya Tilak was presented by Kids of the School. 

The program was conducted by Mohini Vankhede, Apoorva Bhise, Tanmay Vankhede and Shivom Golkar. The program was organized by Mrs Kalpana Gulhane and Mrs Suvarna Ramteke. The main aim behind this celebration was to reconnect everyone to our roots, our native tongue, and to inspire everyone to inculcate the language of pride, “Marathi.” This was done with the support of the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff and the digital team of the school. 

Creative Mind Pre-School Ballarpur, run by Crescent Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Chandrapur, also celebrated National Science Day on 28th February every year to mark the discovery of the “Raman Effect” by the Great Indian physicist Sir C V Raman on 28th February 1928. It is celebrated every year to widely spread a message about the importance of science used in the people’s daily lives, to encourage and popularize Science and Technology. The focal theme for the year 2022 is ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future.’ 

Crescent Public School celebrated “National Science Day” on 28th February 2022. Varieties of carefully planned ‘teaching and learning pedagogy’ are collated and carefully collaborated in the planning stage and then examined and collaborated amongst all facilitators for the ‘learning outcomes. The National Science Day was similarly celebrated at Crescent Public School for Early Years and Primary Years Program, with tremendous enthusiasm and zeal. National Science Day is celebrated in India to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian Physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928. 

National Science Day is distinguished from spreading a notable message about the importance of science used in the daily life of the people. This event was an excellent platform for students to create awareness of Science and Technology. Our champions exhibited various Science projects, models, charts based on Programme of Inquiry and Science Fun Activities. Around 40 working models, 20 models, 10 Experiments, and 15 Charts were made and displayed by Students. Students exhibited their learning of concepts through experiments that included models on different types of energy, human body systems, and solar systems. Younger students who visited the stalls were thrilled to understand complex systems through simple models and charts. The Science Exhibition was inaugurated and assessed by Mr Mohammad Sharif Sir, Principal Mahatma Jyotiba Fule School, Mr Kishor Fulzale, Entrepreneur, and Adv. Nazim Khan, Secretary, Crescent Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Chandrapur. 

The working models prepared for the science exhibition by our students reflected their innovative ideas, creativity, and talent. The models, their explanation, and justification for the questions posed by the students were highly appreciated by the parents and other visitors. Our students proved their efficiency by answering spontaneously to the questions. The exhibition was joyful learning for the students who prepared the projects as well as for those who visited, inquired, and gained knowledge from them. 

The science Teacher, Mrs Taslim Pathan, and Rajitha Yella, under the Guidance of Principal Mrs Humaira Khan, worked hard along with the Teaching, Non-Teaching Staff, and the Digital Team for the Program’s success. 

Both the program was of great success, and it was the talk of the town.
