FASHION MEET – Expo’22, at Apparel House, Gurugram ended successfully with a GlobalSpin Startup Fashion Show.
Fashion, as we all know, is a dynamic global industry and IAMKHADI with the help of other co-organizers SOWTEX and NFDI aim to build the most authentic Indian fashion landscape to get more global recognition for Indian talent, i.e., GLOBALSPIN FASHION WEEK.
The whole idea of GLOBALSPIN STARTUP FASHION SHOW (a part of GLOBALSPIN FASHION WEEK) was conceptualized by Er. Yash Arya, CEO & Founder, IAMKHADI to promote Fashion, Textile, and Technology Startups to showcase Innovations & Sustainable Material development to Fashion Buyers, Fashion Manufacturers, Buying House, Buying Agents, Liaison Offices, Policymakers, Diplomats, Ambassadors and further connect with supply chain & look at the possibility of creating digital integration in near future.
The organizers, SOWTEX, IAMKHADI and NIFT Foundation for Design Innovation (NFDI) being from Startup Domain have shown their sincerity and support to fellow young fashion startups to participate in India’s 1st STARTUP FASHION SHOW (a part of GLOBALSPIN FASHION WEEK) with an objective to give Quick & real-time MARKET CONNECT and visibility in front of the Fashion Export Community to curate high-fashion value added product lines for International buyers.
Our Young & Celebrity Designers are joining hands to bridge the Gap between Buyers expectations and sustainable materials, which are available through Indian Value Chain.
The opening of GLOBALSPIN STARTUP FASHION SHOW (a part of GLOBALSPIN FASHION WEEK) was with a Panel Discussion on “How to infuse Trends in Sustainable Fashion” and panelist included were celebrity designers and industry veterans like Puneet Dudeja, Dr. Ajit Nigam, Pallavi Singh, Tasneem Merchant, Shruti Sancheti and Yash Arya moderated the panel.
IAMKHADI promoted NIFT Foundation for Design Innovation (NFDI) five Start-Ups who exhibited Sustainable & Organic Clothing lines like (URGORGEOUS, AARAS, BAMBOOLOGY Trends etc.) and presented four International Celebrity Designers.
During the GlobalSpin Startup Fashion Show, URGORGEOUS presented precious Indian textiles in the form of Fast Fashion, the ready to wear fashionable women ethnic dresses items to present a modern chic, women of significance excelling in its world of work.
Ms. Tina Jain, Mrs India Planet – 2002 was the Show Stopper, who came forward to support India’s Fashion & Textile Startups.
A NIFT Delhi alumni and a very well-known fashion designer, Anubhav Johri is the Founder of URGORGEOUS under the startup company name of M/s TCHTEX Pvt. Ltd.
With 20+ years of experience in the textile industry, Anubhav has now ventured into creating his original imprint in the fast-fashion world under URGORGEOUS.
A brand that is synonymous with stylish and modern clothing at an affordable price. URGORGEOUS aims to create an outflow of trends in every household and space for Indian clothes online as well as in retail stores.
With 20 years of experience in this industry, he has ventured in establishing his own footprint under the brand URGORGEOUS, which is doing successfully on major e-commerce portals -Limeroad, Flipkart, Amazon & Meesho.
URGORGEOUS is a Commercial Sustainable Fast Fashion is latest fashion from catwalks to masses at affordable prices available for all fashion conscious women with 22 – 40 yrs of age group. The brand story reflects Anubhav’s ideology of reaching the maximum number of households locally and globally by protecting mother earth with use of sustainable fabric and providing employment to local artisans, to save local art and dying craft in small villages.
Chief Guest was Mr. Jyoti Kalash (IAS), Chief Resident Commissioner Nagaland Bhawan, Govt. of Nagaland along with two top celebrity designers were Guest of Honor flying in from London & New York – Varun Bahl & Liz Hartman along with foreign delegates from Canada, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Egypt, South Africa, Mauritius as a Special Guest & few eminent socialites.
Other supporting IAMKHADI team included, Sonia Lamba (Show Director), Kapil Gauhri (Choreographer), Preeti Vashisht (Shoot Director), Kanak Bharat Paraashar (Show Stylist), Dr. Charu Dutt Arora (Show Strategist), Rajalakshmi Joshi (Media Strategist), Pratik Dhawan (Photography Strategist), Chaitanya Soni (Emcee), Raheli Sarkar and Neha Khera (Back Stage Supervisors) and Ekta Kumar (Exhibition Co-ordinator). Students from NIFT Delhi were Back Stage Co-ordinators.
GLOBALSPIN FASHION WEEK is planned to be organized in 5 states namely Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Goa, Mumbai (Maharashtra), Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) and Ludhiana (Punjab) to promote 1st time emerging designers, startups and exporters to go global during this year.
