RVS Educational Institutions, Sulur, Coimbatore, proudly unveiled the RVS YUVA Music Training and Scholarship Program 2024, with the aim of fostering talent in the realm of music. The launch also marked the inauguration of the RVS College of Arts and Science’s Free Career and Educational Guidance Cell, graced by the esteemed presence of Shri. M. P. Abdussamad Samadani, Honourable Member of the Lok Sabha, and Dr. Beena Philip, the Mayor of Kozhikode, along with other dignitaries. RVS Educational Institutions, Sulur, Coimbatore achieved a significant milestone in Kerala’s history.
The event attracted a distinguished audience of over 500 individuals, including MLAs, MPs, actors, government officials, leaders, and chairpersons of various prominent business firms. Attendees were treated to a memorable musical extravaganza featuring performances by renowned artists such as Hamid Khan Tareen (Junior Mohammed Rafi), Malayalam singer Gopika Menon, and Sruthy Udayabhanu, a Carnatic vocalist and music teacher at RVS Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Sulur, Coimbatore.
Dr. K. Senthil Ganesh, Managing Trustee of RVS Group of Institutions and Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry – Coimbatore Zone, articulated the vision behind these initiatives. His efforts were lauded by many attendees, including Members of Parliament, MLAs, the Mayor of Kozhikode, and other government officials.
RVS College of Arts and Science, affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, offer career-oriented education leading to graduation, post-graduation and research degrees in Arts and Science disciplines. Founded on 31st October, 1986, it has grown exuberantly to become one of the biggest self- financing colleges. The college was accorded autonomous status in 2004 by UGC and re-accredited in 2023 with an ‘A+’ Grade. Students from different parts of India choose to enrol and study at the institution.
